In-house we perform pre-anesthetic blood screens, urinalysis, microscopy, cytology, parasitic floatations,

electrocardiography, pulse oximetry, blood pressure checks, and radiology (chest, abdominal and skeletal). We send

out blood/urine and tissue samples to primarily Vita-tech Laboratories in Toronto and Montreal and we have results

the same day or the next morning in most cases (with at least two pick ups per day). For cytology and tissue

histopathology, we use Histovet Laboratories in Guelph. We have free access to consult with board certified

laboratory specialists when needed by using these labs. Our Vitatech lab can do almost anything or has links to

other labs across North America for specialty tests. We routinely run CBC’s, Biochemical panels,

urine/tissue cultures, PCR/DNA evaluations, antibody titres, PLI tests for pancreatitis, among many others.
