Dr. O’Meara performs basic abdominal ultrasounds on patients. He performs emergency and preliminary ultrasounds

on patients to evaluate the need for surgery or referral. The hospital has access to two mobile ultrasonographers for

referrals, advanced ultrasounds and echocardiography (for heart abnormalities). Ultrasound guided biopsies can be

taken to avoid having to perform surgical biopsies.
